A moist northerly upper-level flow is determining the weather in the Alpine region.
Monday will start off mostly sunny in the south, whilst in the north of the region – particularly in the Ahrntal valley – the weather will remain somewhat changeable in the morning. During the day, there will be a mix of sun and clouds, with the clouds remaining thickest in the North-east. A brisk north foehn wind will also be blowing at times.
At the start of the day, changeable weather from the Ortler along the main Alpine ridge; as the morning progresses, the changeable weather will be confined mainly to the Zillertal Alps and the Rieserferner Group. Elsewhere, during the day there will be a mix of sun and clouds.

On Tuesday, apart from a few patches of early morning fog, there will be bright sunshine across much of the region. Wednesday will see increasingly changeable weather, with rain showers and thunderstorms in the afternoon. Thursday will bring changeable weather with sun and clouds and some rain. Friday will see partly cloudy weather with a few rain showers in the afternoon.
